MINNEAPOLIS – Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota is launching a new online master’s degree in Public Administration. Offered fully online and starting this January, the program is designed to prepare effective and ethical leaders who can manage for-profit, nonprofit, and governmental agencies.
Through Interaction and collaboration, the coursework provides three crucial competencies for public service and nonprofit leaders: managerial analysis, leadership, and ethical service. Students will learn to make strategic plans in complex circumstances, build alliances, analyze the impact of public policies, and communicate effectively. Consisting of 12 courses, the program may be completed in two years.
Graduates will be well-prepared to work in federal, state, or local governments in the areas of urban planning, community affairs, or legislative offices, as well as in the nonprofit world, such as charities, foundations, and NGOs.
