The Admission Office recently hosted a two-day “Simply Seniors” event designed for high-school seniors who are admitted, applied or still considering coming to Saint Mary’s.

CAPTION: A high school student and parent talked with Ryan Egan, head men’s/women’s golf and assistant hockey coach.

Almost 70 students and their family members visited campus to experience first-hand what Saint Mary’s has to offer and to help them see how they might fit in.

On Sunday evening the students were challenged with a scavenger hunt and then treated to a bowling and pizza party off campus while the parents enjoyed a dinner and a talk with parents of current students on campus. The students had the opportunity to spend the night in dorm rooms on campus to experience a little bit of campus life.

Monday was filled with campus tours, meeting faculty, staff and coaches, informative presentations for parents and class time for students. Parents learned about financial aid, the Student Success Center, our Study Abroad programs, Living Learning Communities and even an overview of Winona.

The classes that the students visited gave a small sampling of what we have to offer on campus and included biology, communication, criminal justice, marketing, education, psychology, calculus, Spanish, Lasallian honors and graphic design.

Future events inviting students and parents are being planned. Visit the admissions website for more information.
